Modi College students attended five day Bharat Scouts and Guides – National Integration Camp
The Bharat Scouts and Guides unit of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala attended five-day ‘National Integration Camp’ at the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Youth Complex, Gadpuri, Haryana from 19h to 23d February 2020, The camp was organized by The Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Headquarter to Commemorate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, highlighting the Central Government’s ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’ scheme for Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers. As many as 900 participants, Staff & Service Rovers & Rangers from 21 State Associations, Union Territories and Railway zones attended the camp, during which they showcased their unique talents on a national level as well as got a chance to get acquainted with art forms from other parts of the country.
Various high standard cultural programmes were presented by the participating contingents depicting tradition & culture of their respective states
In this camp 6 Rovers (Boys)– Lovepreet singh, Khushnav, Vijay Khan, Jaskaran Singh, Kamaldeep Singh, Prateek Saini and 6 Rangers (Girls)- Ekta, Ramandeep kaur, Manisha Dutta, Manju Sharma, Loveneet kaur, of the college participated as part of BSG Punjab contingent under the mentorship of Dr. Rupinder Singh (Rover In charge)and Dr. Veenu Jain (Ranger In charge) They participated in various competitive activities organized during the camp related to Folk Song & Patriotic Song ,State Exposition ,Folk Dance of India, The Colour-Party Competition ,The Camp-fire, The State Exhibition & Food Plaza competition etc. Students also took part in essay writing competition, slogan writing, and poster making competitions which were held on the theme ‘Gandhi’. The BSG Punjab Team bagged ‘A’ certificates in three activities whereas in four activities got ‘B’ certificates.
Students also actively participated in various integration activities such as “Free Being Me”, “Messenger of peace” and Mai bhi Gandhi and won scarves and Badges. College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar while interacting with the students emphasized that such programmes are essential to unite Indians into a Shresht Bharat by highlighting the essential cultural unity that binds the country with a diversity of languages, dialects, art and culture. Students shared their camp experiences with the Principal.

ਸਥਾਨਾਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ 12 ਸਕਾਊਟਸ (6 ਰੇਂਜਰ ਅਤੇ 6 ਰੋਵਰਜ਼) ਨੇ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਕਾਊਟਸ ਐਂਡ ਗਾਈਡਜ਼ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਹੈਡਕੁਆਟਰ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ 19 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਤੋਂ 23 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਤੱਕ ਗਦਪੁਰੀ (ਹਰਿਆਣਾ) ਵਿਖੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ 5 ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਕੈਂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਰੋਵਰ ਲੀਡਰ ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਰੇਂਜਰ ਲੀਡਰ ਡਾ. ਵੀਨੂੰ ਜੈਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਇਸ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ 21 ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਕਾਊਟਸ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕ ਨਾਚ, ਲੋਕ ਗੀਤ, ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ, ਸਟੇਟ ਐਕਸਪੋਜੀਸ਼ਨ, ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਸਮਾਂ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਤਿਊਹਾਰ, ਫੂਡ ਪਲਾਜ਼ਾ, ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ, ਸਲੋਗਨ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਏ’ ਗ੍ਰੇਡ ਤੇ ਚਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਬੀ’ ਗ੍ਰੇਡ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਟੀਮ ਦਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੇ ਨਿੱਘਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਊਟਸ ਯੂਨੀਤ ਟੇ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਯਤਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਜ਼ਾਹਿਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੁਸਾਸ਼ਨ, ਸੇਵਾ ਭਾਵਨਾ, ਸਿਖਿੱਆ, ਕਲਾ, ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਕ ਰੁਚੀਆਂ ਪੱਖੋਂ ਬਿਹਤਰੀਨ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਕੈਂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਸਕਾਊਟਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੇਂਜਰ ਏਕਤਾ, ਰਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਮਨੀਸ਼ਾ ਦੱਤਾ, ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਮੰਜੂ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਲਵਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਰੋਵਰਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਵਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਖੁਸ਼ਨਵ, ਵਿਜੈ ਖਾਨ, ਜਸਕਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕਮਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਸੈਣੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ।
